Teen Book Club: The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Teen Book Club will meet the third Friday of each month, with a new book chosen by our Teen Council members for each meeting. All tweens and teens welcome!

Book Release Event: Kathy Watson's "Orphans of the Living"
Tuesday, Sept. 30th, 6pm

Join Waucoma Bookstore and the Hood River County Library for an unforgettable evening as local author Kathy Watson launches her debut novel, Orphans of the Living. She’ll be in conversation with longtime Oregonian columnist Steve Duin for a lively discussion about the novel’s history, characters, and the craft of storytelling.
Set in the 1930s American South and California, Orphans of the Living follows the Stovall family’s flight from danger in Mississippi to a new, uncertain life out West—revealing a poignant story of survival, loss, and the ties that both bind and break families.
The evening will include a conversation, audience Q&A, and a book signing. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

Discover and Go!
Discover and Go is a partnership between the Libraries of Eastern Oregon, member libraries, and local arts, culture, history, and recreation organizations to offer free educational and cultural experiences to library patrons across the LEO service area.
Discover and Go provides online access to free tickets donated by local cultural attractions. You can visit the Columbia Gorge Museum, High Desert Museum, Maryhill Museum of Art, OMSI, Oregon State Parks (pass is a parking permit covering parking/day use fees), and the Tamástslikt Cultural Institute.

Indian Creek Trail Poetry Walk
The Indian Creek Poetry Walk is a collaboration of the Hood River County Library District and The Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District.
The installation opens on April 1 in recognition of National Poetry Month. The signs will be on display until the end of September.Visit our Indian Creek Poetry Walk for more details.
