Library of Things
Laptops, games, cheese presses, karaoke machines & more!
Besides our usual fare of books & movies, we offer a growing collection of tech devices, cookware, learning kits, entertainment and more for you to enjoy at home.
Often it can be hard to justify the expense and storage space for things you only use a few times a year – instead, check them out for free only when you need them! Be part of a sharing community that helps reduce cost, waste, and overcrowded cupboards.
Click the categories to see more details and place holds on items. Or go straight to our entire Library of Things Collection. Do you have games or puzzles to donate or a suggestion of what we should purchase? See below for how to get in touch.
Laptops, Tablets & Hotspots
Don’t have access to the Internet? We have mobile hotspots available for checkout for 7 days. We also have laptops and laptop/hotspot combos to lend as well. Tablets will be available for checkout soon.
Games & Entertainment
Looking for a safe and fun activity to do at home? Check out our selection of board and card games, Karaoke machine, Nintendo Switch and more! We will be regularly adding to this collection over the next few months.
Cooking, Baking & Food Preservation
Looking for the perfect pan for a cake? Or maybe that commercial-sized food dehydrator? Check out those items and more in our collection of home kitchen and preservation tools from the Oregon State University Extension Service. All items must be picked up and returned to the Hood River Library. Most items check out for one week.
