Interlibrary Loan

Did you not find the item you were looking for in any of Hood River County’s libraries or the Sage Library System? No problem! You can use this form to request an item from another library.

Things to know about out-of-Sage interlibrary loans:

  • You may borrow any item through interlibrary loan that is not available from libraries in Hood River County or the Sage Library System. This includes books, movies, music, or copies of magazine and journal articles.
  • Any patron of the Hood River County Library District in good standing (i.e. not above $15 in outstanding fines) may request out-of-Sage interlibrary loans.
  • Borrowing two items at a time is free, and each additional item borrowed simultaneously incurs a charge of $3.00 each. We will only charge you if we’re able to get the item. The library lending us the material may charge an additional fee, though this is unlikely. We try our best to borrow from libraries that do not charge additional fees.
  • You may request up to 6 items at a time. This does not count against the number of items you may request through Sage.
  • The lending library sets the due date for items and determines whether they can be renewed. If you’d like to keep the item for longer, please contact us as soon as you can, preferably at least a week before the due date.
  • Applicable copyright laws apply to all materials borrowed via interlibrary loan.
