Get to know your Library of Things: Mandolin Slicer & Fermentation Crock

Tues, July 23rd, 5:30pm, Hood River Library Meeting Room. 

Join us for a demonstration by an expert from the OSU Extension Services on the many uses of a mandolin slicer and fermentation crock, along with instruction for how to make saurkraut using these versatile items.

This presentation is part of a larger series of classes offered at the Hood River and Cascade Locks libraries to help patrons safely and efficiently use some of the food preparation equipment in our Library of Things collection. 

Get to know your Library of Things: Apple Peeler & Food Dehydrator

Tues, August 27th, 5:30pm, Hood River Library Meeting Room. 

Join us for a demonstration by an expert from the OSU Extension Services on the many uses of apple peeler and food dehydrator, along with tips for properly and safely using the apple peeler/corer and troubleshooting issues that might arise. We also will discuss pre-treating apples to make apple chips on the dehydrator.

This presentation is part of a larger series of classes offered at the Hood River and Cascade Locks libraries to help patrons safely and efficiently use some of the food preparation equipment in our Library of Things collection.

Yoga for Adults

Join our weekly yoga classes taught by Snapdragon Yoga, beginning June 1st.

Open to adults, the program is available as a drop-in course every Saturday at 10:30am through August 31st.
