Author Reading: YVONNE PEPIN-WAKEFIELD

Almost five decades later, the cabin and Yvonne have weathered the years, and both continue to stand seasoned and proud.  During this time, she wrote three books about her experiences there. Babe in the Woods: Path of Totality, just released, is the third in a series about life at the cabin.   Her presentation will include discussion of the new book and a visual tour of the cabin and its early construction.

No longer her primary residence, Yvonne continues to go to this off-the grid cabin, reading and writing by the light of the original kerosene lamps, heating with a wood burning stove and splitting wood with the same ax she used as a teenager.

When she is not at the cabin Yvonne lives in a newly built home, studio and gallery on the banks of The Columbia River in The Dalles.  Signed copies of the award winning Babe in the Woods series will be available.
