Writing Workshop [Zoom]

November 3, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, happening 3 times

Need some help finding time to write? This November, join Portland writer Brian Benson for a short series of generative writing sessions. During each session, Brian will share a short essay or poem, offer a short lesson on literary craft and lead participants into a guided writing exercise. Whether you’re new to writing or halfway through your manuscript, Time to Write will help you get words on the page.
Time to Write will be held on the first three Tuesdays in November, from 12 to 1 p.m. PST. Come to one session or come to them all!
Brian Benson is the author of Going Somewhere (Plume, 2014), and co-author, with Richard Brown, of This Is Not for You: An Activist’s Journey of Resistance and Resilience (OSU Press, forthcoming, March 2021). Brian lives in Portland, Oregon, where he teaches at the Attic Institute and facilitates free Write Around Portland workshops in schools, treatment centers and affordable housing. His short nonfiction has been published in Entropy, Off Assignment and The Sun. He is at work on his third book.
