Emmy award-winning stop motion animator/director Teresa Drilling will offer a 2 hour hands-on stop motion workshop at the library. Space is limited. Registration is required. Please visit the library, call 541-386-2535, or email email@example.com.
Teresa Drilling has worked in features, television, commercials, and short films. Trained as a graphic designer and painter, Teresa’s animation curiosity blossomed into a career that splits her time between coasts and continents. She’s contributed to animation books, been in print from the Lindon Times to Time Magazine, and her work as been displayed in the Smithsonian. She was nominated for an Annie Award for her Tumble Leaf series work, and animated on Chicken Run, Elf, Curse of the Wererabbit, Coraline, and Anomalisa. Personally invested in a culture of learning, she crafted curriculum and taught stop motion for Portland State University, Pacific Northwest College of Art, and the Art Institute of Portland. Drilling has called Portland home for nearly 30 years, where she teaches stop motion studies and celebrates the rain.
This workshop is sponsored by Libraries of Eastern Oregon (LEO) and is funded by a grant from ArtPlace America. LEO received the prestigious national grant award from ArtPlace America for “The Arts: Engage at the Library!”, an 18-month project to promote the arts as a community and economic development tool – with community outreach through the library
