Harvesting our Stories: Film and Conversation

On Thursday November 10th, a free film “Harvesting our Stories” by David Hanson will present the creations of five local artists inspired by conversations with five local farmers. The project paired five food producers and five artists’ interpretations of their work: print maker Chelsea Heffner and tribal fisher Brigette McConville; paper artist Virginia Flynn and ranchers Tim and Keely Jeffries; painter Cathleen Rehfeld and farmers Ben and Anastasia Saur; weaver Chloe Hight and orchardist Katrina McAlexander; and metal sculptor MacRae Wylde and wheat farmer Brad Anderson. The film will be followed be a “Community Conversation – Beyond Hunger : Food Insecurity in the Gorge” with Kristy Athens. This program is free and open to the public.
