Family weaving workshop – Cascade Locks Library

Teaching artist, Chloe Hight will offer a “Family Weaving Class” at the Cascade Locks Library on Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 1:00-3:00pm. Hight will take participants on a journey through traditional natural dye processes of Oaxaco, Mexico where she lived and worked with the master weaver of Teotitlan del Valle. Participants will learn basic weaving techniques, begin a weaving and go home with a clipboard loom and yarn.
The program is open to ages 8 and up, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited. To register, please visit the library, call 541-386-2535 or email email@example.com.

LEO received the prestigious national grant award from ArtPlace America for “The Arts: Engage at the Library!”, an 18-month project to promote the arts as a community and economic development tool – with community outreach through the library.
