Learn to Knit Short Rows [HR]

Visit the Hood River and Parkdale Libraries on Saturday, September 15 to learn how to knit using short rows, a technique use to shape and design hats and more. The program will be at Parkdale at 11 a.m. and Hood River at 2 p.m.
The technique of short rows will be using the “wrap and turn (w&t)” method. Short rows are used for shaping and design in hats, shawls, sweaters and many other projects. In this program, participants will make a two color coaster that incorporates short rows.
Participants need to be able to CO (cast on), K (knit), P (purl), kfb (knit through front and back of stitch), k2tog (knit two stitches together), and BO (bind off).
